Story
OCCUPATION
I’ve got a PR, communications and marketing businesses called HARVEST PR. Basically, I work with a lot of great people and tell the stories of their brands.
You’ll sometimes find me with my husband, Rob Ward, working on our farms and occasionally even throwing a fleece. We also have a shearing contract business, Ward Farm Services, so I’ve added bookwork and paymaster to my CV.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Cooma and I still can’t quite believe that I’ve ended up 8.6km down the highway at Bunyan! Falling in love is what bought me back but I can honestly say I am happy to call the Snowy-Monaro home.
Together Rob and I have created a happy, crazy life with our three children, Ava, Charlie and Max, and our extended families and friends. Like everyone with little people, our life is a juggle of kids, work, school, business, LOTS of sport, catching up with friends and the odd holiday but we are having fun and I think we are making some pretty good memories along the way.
I love skiing, photography, my peony garden, our labrador and tap dancing. Five years ago a friend and I decided to learn to tap dance so this isn’t my first time on the stage… that doesn’t mean I can dance or that I am comfortable up there!
WHY I AM PARTICIPATING IN MONARO SPECTACULAR
The thought of getting up on that stage is absolutely terrifying but I’m going to face the fear.
I’m dancing for the people and families in our community that are battling cancer. I hope that this money will help someone when they need it most and that with it they will feel the warmth and support of this great community.
I’m also dancing as a way to recognise and honour family members and friends who have fought, suffered, won and lost at the hands of this insidious disease.

Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
