ABOUT ME
Married to Amanda, two children – Josh 21yo and Ashleigh 19yo. I recently turned 50. I have lived in Cooma for the past 19 years and have been employed by NAB for the past 16 years. I am a Treasurer of the Cooma Stallions Rugby League and also on the Board of Directors for Group 16 Rugby League. Passions are rugby league and cricket, but have an interest in any form of sport.
WHY I AM PARTICIPATING IN MONARO SPECTACULAR
There are two main reasons I decided to say yes to participating. Firstly, I lost my Mum to cancer in 2017 and also, Amanda lost her Aunt also in 2015. Secondly, I am of the belief, you only get out of something, what you are prepared to put in yourself, so I am always on the lookout for ways to help my local community. Being asked to participate in this year’s event was a ‘no brainer’ really – being able to help out MCCR and also (hopefully) put smiles on the faces of people in the audience when they see our performances.

Monaro Committee for Cancer Research Incorporated
The Monaro Committee for Cancer Research was formed in 1996 by the daughter of a young Monaro mother who after a 5 year struggle lost her battle with cancer. Since its inception the mcCr has supported cancer outreach services on Snowy Monaro. In 2007 after much lobbying, a local oncology service was introduced to the Cooma Hospital. Local support raised in excess of $100,000 towards this project and today we have a successful outreach oncology service. mcCr is a local voluntary group of dedicated women working towards further cancer support and services for the Snowy Monaro Region.Your support will enable mcCr to continue this assistance for cancer sufferers.
